Billy Joe Patterson

  Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee   Services for Billy Joe Patterson, 82, will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00am at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Reverends Sylvia Newman and James Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9:00 am until service time.  Mr. Patterson, a cattleman, farmer and maker of Patterson’s Sausage, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.  He was born on June 19, 1935 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Ernest C. and Callie May Parish Patterson. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ernest Thomas Patterson.    Survivors include his wife Gladys Hastings Patterson of McKenzie, a brother Jimmy Patterson of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.   Pallbearers who will be serving are: James Paul Patterson, James Hastings, Caleb Patterson, Stephen Hugueley, Blake Hugueley, and Jon Austin Hugueley.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
