Bessie Walton Lowe

Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee   Services for Bessie Walton Lowe, 88, will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Crossno officiating.  Interment will follow at Lewis Hollow Cemetery between Waverly and Erin off Highway 13.  The family will receive friends on Thursday October 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, October 28, 2016 from 8:30 am until service time.  Mrs. Lowe, a CNA, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.  She was born on November 3, 1927 in Lewis Hollow of Houston County Tennessee to Horace and Lillie Bell Tue Lewis. She was a member of Back to the Bible Mission Church in McKenzie.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 47 years Willie Elmer Lowe, Sr. who died in 1991.    Survivors include two daughters Bessie Lou Reeder of Clarksville, TN, Connie (Michael) Haley of McKenzie, a son Willie Elmer (Sheila) Lowe, Jr. of McKenzie, three step daughters Faye Anderson, Velma (Lester) Anderson, and Louise Haywood, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.   Pallbearers who will be serving are Nicholas Lowe, Michael Lowe, Mathew Sweatt, Doug Reeder, Jason Reeder, and Tyler Haley      Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
