Iris June Nanney

  Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee   Graveside services for Iris June Nanney, 89, will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:30 am at Carroll Memorial Gardens with Dana Deem officiating.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Mrs. Nanney, the retired owner of Nanney’s Florist and Nanney’s Greenhouse in McKenzie, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Lakeside Assisted Living.  She was born on June 29, 1927 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Carlos Pratt and Jessie Causey Berry. She was Baptist in faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lois Winford Nanney, a sister Peggy Sydnor, three brothers Horace Berry, Don Berry, and Toney Berry.    Survivors include her daughters Tamara Nanney of Henry, TN and Zelda (Billy) Smith of McKenzie, four grandchildren Tim (Carol) Nanney, Hayley Nanney, Stacey Sullivan, and Chris Boyd, three great grandchildren Braden Nanney, Nathan Nanney, and Jayden Boyd, two sisters Patty Price and Cherry Rittenberry, a brother Milton Berry all of McKenzie.   Pallbearers who will be serving are: Doug Berry, John Sydnor, Braden Nanney, Billy Smith, Chris Boyd, and Tim Nanney    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
