Danny Wilson Edwards

Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Danny Wilson Edwards, 72, will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Henry Simpson officiating. Cremation will follow.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 11:00 am until service time of 1:00 pm.  Mr. Edwards, a retired truck driver, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  He was born on December 16, 1943 in Gibson Wells, TN in Henry County to Fleming Rainey and Sara Hufstedler Edwards. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carol Edwards, and a sister and brother in law Carylon (Bob) Whitehead.    Survivors include his wife of six months Karen Ann Hampton Lifsey Edwards, a daughter Dana (Bill) Bankey of Medina, two step sons Michael (Amanda) Lifsey and John (Christy) Lifsey of Hollow Rock, TN, two sisters Suzanne (Stanley) Currin and Janie Irby of McKenzie, a brother Rainey (Aline) Edwards, two grandchildren and five step grandchildren.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
