Memorial Services for Robert Wayne Green, 56, will be held Thursday, June 1st at 2:00PM at McKenzie Funeral Homes Cedar Avenue Chapel with Sister Venice Hones officiating. Interment will Be at a later time at Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1st from 1:00PM until Service time. Mr. Green, the former Parks and Recreation Director for the City of McKenzie, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born on April 29, 1950 in Columbia, MS to Sherman Dale Green and Helen Ray Knight Green both deceased. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Gayle Pillow Green who died in 1997. Survivors include one son Brandon Green of Bruceton, TN; five brothers Mike Green of Foxsworth, MS, Sherman Green of Alaska, Chester Green of Utah, David Green of Gulfport, MS, Kenneth Green of Columbia, MS; two sisters Patsy Wilson of Arkansas and Debbie Ward of Columbia, MS. He was a graduate of Pearl River Junior College in Mississippi.
