Funeral Services for Betty Ann Young is Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Brother John Forgy is the officiant and interment is at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Young, 76, died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her residence. She is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and a retired line operator for Murray Outdoors. She was born in Selmer on August 17, 1945 to Stanford O’Dell and Essie Mae Kirk Nixon.

She is survived by her sons Jason (Sabrina) Young of Medina and Andy (Audra) Young of Hernando, MS, four grandchildren Hailey B. Young, Elena Young, Sarah Grace Young and Lydia Young, a niece Renee Kilser of Selmer and a nephew Richie Bodiford of Michie, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby R. Young, a sister Bernice Bodiford and two brothers Joe Nixon and Rayburn Nixon.
