Burnell "Barney" Beers

Funeral and Masonic Services for Burnell “Barney” Beers is Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Brummitt- McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads will follow cremation. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2019 11:00 a.m. – until service time.

Mr. Beers, age 92, died Friday, December 20, 2019 at Henry County Health Care Center, Paris, TN.  He was born September 15, 1927 in Peck, MI to Leroy and Mary Ellen Lett Beers. He is a WWII Army Veteran, an Electronic Engineer, a substitute teacher for the McKenzie Special School District and a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a niece Mary (Paul) Scott of Baxter,TN, and very special friends William and Robin Thomas of McKenzie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lossie Taylor Beers, five sisters Helen, Kate, Clara and Isabelle and two brothers Jim and Earl.
