Funeral services for Carol Smith Clement Washburn is Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. Washburn, age 80, a retired registered nurse and secretary at Special Education District Lake County, died September 30, 2020 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Dahlgren, IL, on May 27, 1940 to Ralph C. Parkhill and Dora Draper Wisch. She is a member of Caledonia Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Wayford Washburn,Sr of McKenzie, two daughters Sharri O’Daniel of Kenton and Carla Lawrence of Trezevant, a son David (Sandra) Smith of Dresden,  sister Sharon (Glen) Cross of Smithville and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband’s S.L. Smith and Reverend Thomas Earl Clement.
