Ewell E. Townes, age 60, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Carroll County. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services are Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Townes was born in McKenzie on June 3, 1960 to U.L. and Marsha Fuqua Townes. He is a member of Enon Baptist Church and was a Foreman at Tosh Farms.

He is survived by his mother Marsha Townes of McKenzie, a daughter Natshia Haynes of Jackson and Cameron Clark of AL, a special godson Roscoe McClerkin , two sisters Anita Newbill  and Carol Townes both of McKenzie, two brothers Jessie (Cheryl) Townes and Jimmy Townes all of McKenzie,  his fiancé Kimberly Lowe, eight grandchildren and one great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father and one brother Carl Townes.
