Graveside funeral services for Freddie Virginia Batton Ghyers, 85, will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 5:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Brother John Forgy officiating.  Interment will follow the service.  Visitation will be just before and after the service at the cemetery.  Mrs. Ghyers, the retired owner of His and Her’s Beauty Shop and an employee of Brown Shoe Company, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on September 4, 1936 in Ridgley, Tennessee to Fred and Helen Batton. She was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy T. Ghyers who she married on October 16, 1954, and her sister Irene Daniels. 


Survivors include her son Dale and Barbara Ghyers and her daughter Tina and David Galey all of McKenzie, her grandchildren and great grandchildren Nick and Angie Ghyers, Abbi and Jake; Autumn and Joey Anderson, Ty and Lane; Mark and Michelle Ghyers Dierks and Merritt; Casey and Johnna Toombs Brett and Marlee; Brian Shunna Toombs, Tateum; Ty and Jessica Galey, her brothers Bruce and Anita Batton, and Jackie Batton of McKenzie.
