Graveside Funeral Services for James L. Knolton is Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will have a private visitation prior to the service. Family will serve as pallbearers and Dennis Coleman's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Knolton, 86 years old, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mr. Knolton is a member of First Baptist Church McKenzie, a member of TN National Guard for 35 years, a retired member of McKenzie School Board, Civil Air Patrol and charter member of McKenzie Jaycee’s. He was a cable slicer for Bellsouth and retired after 40 years of service.

He was born in Medina to JT and Juanita Lewis Knolton on December 23, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Sheila Knolton.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Knolton, daughter Laura (Brian) Baker all of McKenzie, a brother Bobby (Susan) Knolton of Knoxville, six grandchildren Kelsie Poore, Kaleigh Poore, Beau Baker, Blake Baker, Sydney Baker and Nick Baker and two great-grandchildren Claudia Baker and Cailyn Baker and two nephews
