Melba Brawner Summers

A graveside service for Melba Brawner Summers, 93, will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at Everetts Chapel Cemetery with Brother Dennis Trull officiating.  Interment will follow at Everetts Chapel Cemetery after the service.  Visitation will be at the grave side before and after the service.  Ms. Summers, a Secretary for Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in McKenzie, died Monday, June 20, 2022 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.  She was born on August 26, 1928 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Paul and Juanita Brogdon Brawner. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Joyce Brawner Chapman, Barbara Brawner Timmons, Virginia Brawner Hooton and a brother Franklin Brawner. 

 

Survivors include her son Ken (Shari) Summers of McKenzie, three granddaughters Kia Bell (Marty) Brown, Ally Summers, and Lyndsey Summers all from McKenzie, a sister in law Shirley Brawner of McKenzie, a brother in law Richard Hooton of Franklin, TN, and one great granddaughter Addie Brown of McKenzie  .

Pallbearers named for Ms. Summers are Kyle Chapman, Roger Brawner, Ken Sanders, Barry Summers, Marty Brown, and Dan Simon.
