Funeral Services for Thelma Louise Sawyers are Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the church 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Sawyers, 93 years old, died August 5, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She one of the oldest members of Grace Baptist Church, a retired factory worker and nurse at Methodist Hospital McKenzie. She was born on October 24, 1927 in McKenzie to Hollis Cannon and Josie Craft Scott.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Sawyers, sons Bobby Sawyers and Donny Sawyers and a brother Clyde Scott.

She is survived by three brothers Melvin Scott, James Scott and Hollis Scott, Jr. and two daughter in laws Diana Sawyers and Anita Sawyers, many nieces and nephews.
